Hello everyone!
I am back from California!! What an amazing trip. Did I tell you all how much I love California? Well, I am telling you NOW!! I happen to miss the most miserable snow storm here in NY, so that was good timing.
Let me tell you.................Can you believe I won Raye Hollit's strength show. It was an amazing experience. Let me tell you.............I didn't really train for this. I haven't climbed a rope since I was in elementary school, I never did the travelling rings, and who has ever had the wonderful opportunity of lifting a KEG of BEER over there head? Regardless of the" ELEMENT OF SURPRISE" Factor..........I managed to WIN! Raye really has a great idea here. It is not just another strength show...........it tests your strength, endurance and cooridination. I sometimes feel that events like this are more fun than competing. At least you can clearly see who is the winner. You either can lift the weight or you can't! In Bodybuilding...........the subjectivity of the whole thing can be so frustrating.
Here are some of my lifts:
Bench Press- 160# , 32 times
Pull-ups ( all the way up and down, full reps) 27 times
Dips - 47 times
Barbell Curls ( 80#) 64 reps - winner of this event
Rope climb- I don't want to talk about it
Traveling rings- 18 rings
Dumbell walk- up and down the aisle 3 x
Keg Lift- 33 times over the head and clean and jerk
My pro-debut is May 21st...............in New York City!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So- be there!

Well, I'd call myself a "Girlie-Man" in comparison, but then... you're a girl, so I must be even weaker than that. Congrats.
YOU RULE !!!!!!
Your point of it not be subjective is sound. There is a clear winner with clear measurable standards and the winner is determined by strength and everything you mentioned in your post. IS this something you want to do more of?
