Oct. 15, 2008

What a LONG TIME since I last entered into my BLOG. I guess I let my crazy life take over and I forget to keep the world up to date with my life. In a brief summary I will recap since after my last BB show, May 2008.

After I competed in NY and placed a dissappointing 12th place, in my home town no less, I wanted to step back and REST. I have competed every year since I started competing back in 1999. I just think that I was getting worse. I lost the eye of the tiger to diet and compete. I just have so many other things in my life that I want to sink my teeth into. That is a fault of mine. My mother used to always say, and still says, WHY CAN'T you just settle for being REALLY REALLY good at ONE THING. No.. I want to do it all.

And I want to get into making suits someday and most recently I am auditioning for " THE NEXT FOOD NETWORK STAR". I made the 2nd call back and I am waiting to hear back if I make the semi finals.

This will largely impact if I am going to compete next year. I have to move into the city for 6 weeks in Jan - Feb and compete to be the next food network star. This is my dream.. to get my own show. And..if nothing more.. to gain exposure and hopefully inspire the executives that I could have a good show.

It is just a LIFE transition... I love the stage.. but, I also don't want to make my injuries worse.. I have such bad shoulders. I have to make a decision at some point to get surgery.. but, If I don't have that pressure of always trying to train heavy and FIGHT to maintain all the muscle I need to be even remotely competative... I migth be able to save my poor shoulders. We just have to see what happens next for me.

I love bodybuilding and performing... but, I just think that I stopped improving... and that is the hardest thing to deal with. The fun of bodybuilding is getting better every year... not getting worse.

So this past year I traveled to all the amateur national shows doing hair/make-up/and airbrush tanning. It was a great year.... I loved it. I am minimizing my schedule next year to include only certain shows and I am going to work on my next project... having my own cooking show.

I hope you all enjoyed my FLEX in the CITY and my McCain Girl " The HULK " Polically Incorrect Web Videos.

You never know what is next for me..........

Colette
