Hello everyone...

Well, the NY PRO is over! I have to say, it is a relief. I need to take a little break from competing and focus on some of my other goals. I think preparing for these past two shows this year was an eye opener for me.... I didn't have the same focus as I usually do. I have been more distracted with starting a new company, managing my web design business, and my personal online nutrition consulting. I just found myself resenting having to do cardio and hurrying up to get things done rather than worrying about the quality of how things were being done.

It is always hard to come to a cross roads in your life or career. Bodybuilding is something that I identify with... and puts an identity to ME! But, at the end if that was taken away, Who is Colette Nelson? There are still so many things I have yet to do and explore. The sad part about being a competitive bodybuilder... it takes YOU LIFE... as it should with anyone trying to be #1 in a sport. It takes 24/7 focus and dedication.. that is why Iris Kyle is one of the best. This is her #1 Focus every day...

For me I can't give that type of dedication right now....

I will consider waiting until teh NY PRO next year to compete again... I am going to miss being on stage but I hope to be choreographing routines and music for competitors as this keeps me creative.

I am also going back to taking Dance Lessions.. the greatest thing about living in NY.. you have broadway danceres teaching the classes... even in Long Island.. I love it.

I am currently at the Jr. USAs helping Gina Quinn and Lisa Brouschard.... hair and make-up. The weather is perfect... I am really enjoying the down time.

I have a big suprise to announce.... it is super exciting and I just can't belive it. Could be the start of something fabulous....

I will let you know... when I am certain that it is happening.
