Hello

I am sure many of you have heard, I did not get the invite to the Arnold. I am very dissappointed, and so is my family. I am here in Detroit visiting my parents who live but a few hours drive from COLUMBUS as were so excited about my doing the show. It was heartbreaking trying to explain to them that I didn't get the invite. I have been dieting and training like I was doing the show. It is just so upsetting.

I have to look at this in the larger scheme of things. I have been given some wonderful opportunities lately. My dream as always been bigger than the bodybuilding stage. I am going to be on an episode on SPIKE TV filming next week and I am going to be filming the COMMERCIAL for AXE body spray in February. I already shot the PRINT add for them last week. In the end, I have always thought of bodybuilding as a vehicle to help get me involved in bigger and better things.

You haven't seen the best of COLETTE yet!! It might not be on a bodybuilding stage... but a much bigger stage, TV, MOVIES, etc..........

Thank you to all my friends, fans, and loved ones for supporting me in my efforts. I wish I could have been there on stage..............but, keep an eye out for me in more mainstream venues.

I will be back.............doing the ATLANTIC CITY show in September and perhaps the Southwest Pro.

Hello again.....

I really have to keep up on my journal. But, I only like to write when there is something noteworthy. This has been a good week. I auditioned for the AX deodorant Commercial here in New York last week. It was a last minute audition as they have been auditioning for a female Bodybuilder for several weeks now. Honestly, I didn't think about going out for the casting b/c I am only 1 month into my diet and I was pretty OFF-SEASON, when I started. But, My body has been shaping up and I felt confident enough to go to the audition. The best part... I had to be there in a TINY BIKINI with my pale white skin. Going to the tanning booth was out.. I would just look red and probably burn. I could have done the Mystic Spray tan ... but, that doesn't always give you the best color. I was going to apply pro-tan or self-tanner, but decided, to just go there with my natural skin.

For all those female bodybuilders reading my journal, can you relate to the feeling of putting on your posing suit when you are NOT IN SHAPE? Oh yea, you know you love it. Well, I had to do it. I walked into the casting and the guys have their cameras and they put me in front of a blue screen. Then.... they said, I think you are going to get this part. I said.... Really? Mind you... I am feeling just HUGE.... not ripped.... just BIG. Not a good feeling. But, that is exactly what they wanted. A BIG GIRL, with visible muscles, and HUGE BOOBS. Yep.. that is exactly what the casting card called for. I guess..... I fit the description.

So, this is going to be the PRINT part of the commercial. It will be appearing in all the major magazines.... and NOT fitness magazines.. REAL MAINSTREAM magazines. You have to look outside the box to make any money ... trust me. As you might or might not realize.... all the many photos you see of your famous fitness stars rarely get paid to appear in those ads. It is such a shame. I will keep you posted on the aftermath of the shoot. I hope to get a few polaroids.

I still haven't received word about the ARNOLD CLASSIC...but, it is any day now. I will write in my journal with the outcome of that.........I sure hope I get it. I have been dieting like I have a show in 12 weeks.

This guy developed a fitness training television show for KIDS. It is huge. He is doing an informercial right now and also no PBS and is planning on being in 50 million homes by next year. This is a HUGE account and definitely going to test my skills. I am in the process of taking classes to better my knowledge. I always like a challenge.

I am planning a trip to Detroit for the HOLIDAY... leaving Dec. 21- 28th. I have to see the family and my new little niece who will be almost 8 months. I still have a ton of Christmas shopping to do..... With no time to do it. I love to shop in the city... But, it is so damn cold.

I will get it done.... as always. Let's just hope the trip home does not sabotage my diet. My parents have way to much tempting food around. It kills me.

Also, there are no gyms open on Christmas. I am going to have to use this poor old exercise bike at my parents house. It is one of those turn dial ones.... horrible. I about lose my mind on that thing.

But... it is all for the cause. It is going to be March before you know it.

My last words..... I finally broke down and got a BlueTooth Headset. I love it..... I recommend to all who are still using the handfree ( with the wire) . This is much better.

That is a good gift.......

Hello again,

What a crazy day at work. You see, living in Long Island requires me to have to take the LIRR train into Manhattan. Ah, the days of just waking up and jumping on my TREK BIKE and riding to work. What a great way to get in my cardio. My life is a bit different from the running around days of living in Manhattan. Let's hope my legs will be able to put on a little size now that I am not running them into the ground, literally. I actually get to drive a car like a normal person.

I added some beautiful photos from Dan Ray to me members gallery. They are a must see. They were taken in Texas 1 week after my NY Pro Debut. I am still planning on sending some of those shots to Maxim, as I shot with them last year but still felt that I was TOO MUSCULAR for their magazine. I shot for a MUSCLE CAR feature, can you imagine? Such is my life.

I am actually going on a GO SEE in NYC on Wednesday for a deodorant Print Add. We will see... I am not actually in SHAPE yet, so I am assuming that I won't get it. I go to so many Auditions and I usually get the same response, too big. They always tell me I should lose about 20# of muscle and I would be perfect. I am not willing to do that, so I will continue to be me and hope for the best. Thank God I have a REAL job as a Registered Dietitian.

I haven't heard anything about the Arnold Classic, yet! I am hoping. I am sure it won't be too much longer before they give out the invites. I am dieting in hopes of one. So, that is always exciting.

Just to name a few of my few projects lately. I am working on a big site.... www.kidfitnesstv.com This concept was developed here in Long Island due to the ever increasing childhood obesity epidemic. Paul Neville, a friend of both Dave and I, developed and put his life savings into this idea. He developed a TV show for KIDS to exercise. I am so excited to be a part of this. Perhaps you might see me in an episode....PBS look out, a female bodybuilder lose on the set.
